What
is a "Real-Time" TSB?
Accessing TSBs
With every quarterly release of ShopKey,
current subscribers receive hundreds of new Technical Service
Bulletins (TSBs) on their new CDs/DVDs. The TSBs available
in ShopKey5.com also get updated on the same quarterly basis.
However, ShopKey adds new TSBs every week. To bridge the gap
between TSBs that have been written and TSBs that are available
to ShopKey subscribers, ShopKey Rewards has developed software
and procedures to allow members to view "Real-Time"
TSBs that are not yet available in any of our products.
How Does it Work?
When a ShopKey quarterly update is shipped,
customers are brought current with available TSBs. Once a
week, approved TSBs are moved into the ShopKey Rewards TSB
repository and made available to ShopKey Rewards members.
The total available TSB count continues to grow throughout
the quarter as shown in the figure below:

When ShopKey's quarterly update
is shipped in week 12, the repository is cleared and the process
starts over again.
To
provide some visibility as to what is available at any point
in time, the first screen of the TSB viewer shows new TSBs
added each week by vehicle. The first column shows Vehicle
Make, the second column shows the weekly total and the last
column shows the total for the quarter.
To help technicians quickly
determine if a vehicle has any real-time TSBs, the drop-down
lists only include those vehicles with TSBs. For example,
if you are looking for real-time TSBs for an F-150 pickup
and it doesn't appear in the lists, that is because there
aren't any real-time TSBs in the ShopKey Rewards repository.
