ShopKey5 Product Suite - Hardware and Software Requirements

ShopKey recommends using business class computers. Although custom-built clone machines may run well, the majority of problems result from poorly engineered equipment. ShopKey recommends using name brand business computers from Dell®, Compaq®, and HP®. 3COM® or Intel® cards are required for networking. Systems intended for five (5) or more concurrent users should consider a dedicated Windows server. Networks should be configured with at least one DVD drive software installation and or data copying. ShopKey5 (desktop), ShopKey5.com, Service Writer and Shop Management include optional training videos. Users wishing to view these videos will require a system configured with a sound card and speakers.

Note on Windows Vista: ShopKey is currently performing compatibility tests and will provide updated status when the testing is completed. Preliminary results indicate our core products Service Writer/Shop Management, Repair, Estimator, and ShopKey5.com work on the new operating system. However, certain parts catalogs do not. Ask support about your catalogs before upgrading.
