Why do I need Internet Explorer (IE) Version 5.5 or newer to run ShopKey Rewards?

The short answer is that different browsers interpret programming code differently. This means that pages designed for one browser may not look the same, or even display at all, in another.

ShopKey chose Internet Explorer (IE) because our research indicates that about 90% of our users who use the Internet already use IE as their primary web browser. Moreover, IE is automatically installed in every Windows PC. If you don't have IE, you can download it for free from the Microsoft web site.

I am having trouble running ShopKey Rewards in AOL (or other non-supported browser)?

ShopKey is aware that AOL provides internet services to more users than anyone else. AOL's focus, however, is on the casual consumer as opposed to business users. We have investigated what it would take to work on AOL and found that they are continually changing the interface and requirements based on the needs of users accessing their system primarily for entertainment. Internet Explorer provides the stable environment we need so we are sure our applications can run correctly.

AOL users can launch Microsoft Internet Explorer while still maintaining AOL as their internet service provider. Just open AOL as you normally would, minimze your AOL Window, and then launch Internet Explorer. You should then be able to access ShopKey Rewards without any problems.
